The study asked participants to sign up to a fake dating site and rate people whom they would like to date. The profiles told how their previous relationship ended. Either they were dumped, they ended it or chose not to comment.
Christine Stanik who led the study said of the results “a man taking a dominant role in his romantic relationships may also be seen as more consistent with traditional gender roles," she continues. "A dominant woman may be less acceptable for this reason, or men may just view her as picky or demanding."
